Bringing new life to a heritage Wandana Heights home with a complete renovation
This project was quite significant as it was the personal residence of the owner of DLW Builders where he lived with his wife and children. The house was the original farmhouse from 1920’s and from a construction perceptive, it was a challenging task as the block was a sloping site that had a substantial fall from the rear to the front of the block. Extensive retaining walls had to be installed to make the space around the house more usable. There was a complete renovation and extension of every space inside the house to take advantage of the elevated views over Geelong and across Corio Bay towards Melbourne. Premium finishes such as Blackbutt solid timber flooring and Ceasarstone benchtops were used throughout the home with under-tile heating in the bathrooms to add a luxurious finish.
