A family in the charming rural town of Moriac, nestled in the Surf Coast Shire near Geelong, sought to enhance their home with a more functional layout tailored to their growing needs. Their wish list included a full-sized laundry for added convenience, a modernised master suite for improved comfort, and an extra bedroom to accommodate visiting friends and family.
To achieve this, we designed and constructed a thoughtfully planned extension that seamlessly integrated with the existing home. By extending to the side and expanding towards the rear of the lot, we maximised space without compromising the property's original aesthetic. Careful attention was given to energy efficiency, incorporating double-glazed windows and doors, 6-star energy-rated insulation in the ceilings, and low-wattage LED downlights throughout. These enhancements not only improved sustainability but also ensured a comfortable living environment year-round.
The end result is a beautifully executed extension that harmonises effortlessly with its surroundings while significantly enhancing the home’s functionality.
